DVD MOVIE REVIEW:
AIR BUD: GOLDEN RECEIVER(Special Edition)
by Brian Savage

Air Bud: Golden Receiver (Special Edition) — This time out, Buddy, the hoop-shooting, hotshot canine, tackles a new sport--football. When his teenage owner reluctantly becomes the school's new quarterback, Buddy catches the spirit and joins the team. Soon, the two find themselves leading the Timberwolves to the state championship. But victory hopes are sidelined when two sinister Russian circus owners take a bite out of everyone's plans and dognap Buddy for their star attraction. Give three cheers for Disney's hilarious hit that goes the whole nine yards for outrageous fun and adventure!

This is another one of those basketball playing dog movies where the dog decides to switch sports and play football. Wait, did I just say a dog playing sports? Yes, it is another family friendly Disney formula movie where the animals take on human personalities and abilities, save the day for the kids, family, and spoil the plot of those evil eastern bloc bad guys once again!

Solid family entertainment. The six year old really liked it and said it is a big thumbs up for him. It did move along quite nicely and kept his attention the whole time.

I must say that the animal tricks in this film were pretty amazing. I don't know if there are pro-receivers who would chase the ball as much as the star of this show.

Don't miss the exclusive bonus of the whole Buddies' team providing color commentary in a puppy play-by-play analysis.

I recommend this movie - look for it in stores now!
