Transformers Prime Season 1 starts a new chapter of the Transformers universe. The computer animated television series is a modern retelling of the origins of Transformers on Earth which takes cues from the Generation 1 series through the blockbuster movies and the Transformers Animated series. World recognized characters like Optimus Prime and Bumblebee fight alongside fellow Autobots to protect Earth from the Decepticons led by Megatron and Starscream.

The Season 1 Limited Edition Blu-Ray set includes four disks showcasing twenty-six episodes and with nearly ten hours of footage. The set also includes additional bonus material with three featurettes and commentary during many of the episodes by the cast and crew.

The Autobots are a small team which includes Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen), Ratchet, Bulkhead, Arcee, and Bumblebee. The Decepticons include well known characters such as Starscream and Soundwave under the leadership of Megatron (Frank Welker). The Decepticons also have an army of Vehicon drones at their disposal which makes the battle to protect Earth even harder for our heroic Autobots. We also meet thier human friends: Jack, Miko, Raf and Special Agent Fowler who help the Autobots remain hidden to the world as robots in disguise.

Throughout the twenty-six episodes in Season 1, concepts such as the origin of Transformers, to the Great War and exodus from Cybertron, to the battle between good and evil are explored in detail through exquisite storytelling and amazing visual effects. The series has been nominated for six Daytime Emmy awards and won two awards in 2011.
