Ever since the classic Star Wars trilogy burst onto the screen in 1977, a new generation of movie and toy fans has continued the tradition of celebrating the past, present and future of the Star Wars universe. In 2004, Hasbro builds on the tradition with the Original Trilogy Collection of authentically detailed figures, vehicles and lightsabers, this time celebrating Lucasfilm’s fall release of the Star Wars Trilogy on DVD.
Hasbro’s Original Trilogy Collection will recapture the magic of the first three Star Wars film releases from the late 70s and early 80s for a new generation of kids, bringing back the memorable black-and-silver retro package look and collectible new versions of the earliest Star Wars toys. In addition to updated action figure versions of the most favorite characters from the first three films, Hasbro is bringing back one of the most legendary spaceships in the galaxy -- available for the first time since 1996 will be the Millennium Falcon.
Hasbro Star Wars lightsabers defined the role-play category and remain among the best-selling Star Wars items. The crash-and-bash fun continues in 2004 with several basic and electronic lightsabers based on both Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones and the Star Wars Trilogy.

ELECTRONIC LIGHTSABERS (Approximate retail price: $19.99) The Force is strong with five authentic ELECTRONIC LIGHTSABERS of the key Star Wars heroes and villains. Each lightsaber has a light-up extendable blade and authentic movie sounds for all the classic crash-and-bash action and allows kids to play out their own Star Wars fantasies. Highlights include two lightsabers as part of the Original Trilogy Collection in the fall, featuring handle designs based on the lightsabers of LUKE SKYWALKER and DARTH VADER. BASIC LIGHTSABERS (Approximate retail price: $6.99) For more Jedi Knight lightsaber action, the original BASIC LIGHTSABER is available in four colors (red, blue, green and purple), each with an extendable blade and two different handle styles. VINTAGE 3-3/4 and 12-INCH FIGURES (Approximate retail price: $9.99 & $29.99) Hasbro captures the excitement of the original Star Wars action figure line with its vintage figure collection that includes modern versions of popular characters presented in packaging featuring the original artwork from Kenner’s Star Wars line. The 3-3/4-inch segment features 12 figures such as Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo and Darth Vader, among others. The 12-inch line will include three figures – Luke Skywalker, a Stormtrooper and Boba Fett.

Following yet another year of soaring popularity as seen by double-digits sales increases, Hasbro's TRANSFORMERS brand celebrates its 20th year in 2004 as the legendary kid and collector favorite also known as ROBOTS IN DISGUISE. From Hasbro's action figures to the Cartoon Network animated series, Dreamwave comic books and the upcoming Atari video game, a new generation of kids have discovered the thrills of the TRANSFORMERS saga.
This year Hasbro will continue to provide kids with plenty of unique new TRANSFORMERS action figure play, delivering another riveting theme called TRANSFORMERS ENERGON. The celebration continues with a new segment of authentic licensed vehicles called TRANSFORMERS ALTERNATORS that change from well-known car brands into cool TRANSFORMERS robots. Long-time fans and kids can continue to look for new releases from the TRANSFORMERS UNIVERSE line, a collection of the best TRANSFORMERS toys from years past. TRANSFORMERS ENERGON
TRANSFORMERS ENERGON is the next installment of the legendary storyline of the AUTOBOTS versus the DECEPTICONS. Though disabled at the end of TRANSFORMERS ARMADA: THE UNICRON BATTLES, UNICRON, one of the most evil TRANSFORMERS characters ever, continues his quest to rule the world. In this new story, UNICRON has set his sights on stealing Earth’s energon -- the one energy source that will bring him back to power. But OPTIMUS PRIME intends to stop this evil plot before UNICRON can reactivate. OPTIMUS PRIME utilizes the ‘SPARK OF COMBINATION’ to mobilize his small AUTOBOT force to combine, or POWERLINX, to create larger, more powerful robots. But the threat of the DECEPTICON is great this time. OPTIMUS PRIME will need the power and strength of the largest AUTOBOT robot yet, OMEGA SUPREME, in order to stop this evil plot. Will the AUTOBOT forces in their new POWERLINX combinations be enough to stop the DECEPTICONS in their quest to revive UNICRON?
Kids can combine TRANSFORMERS ENERGON toys sold by retailers at many different price points to create an almost limitless number of possibilities. In January, kids can tune into the new TRANSFORMERS ENERGON program on Cartoon Network.
TRANSFORMERS ENERGON OMEGA SUPREME FIGURE (Approximate Retail Price: $49.99) As the AUTOBOTS battle UNICRON, the OMEGA SUPREME character is the largest AUTOBOT robot and the ultimate combiner in the quest for energon. The figure stands at an incredible 16 inches in robot mode and it is actually two vehicles – and awesome construction crane and a space battleship -- that combine to make a super robot or train. A third attachment becomes the head in the robot mode. Like UNICRON, OMEGA SUPREME is action-packed with electronic lights and sound, additional mechanized features, firing projectiles and mini-con posts. TRANSFORMERS ENERGON ULTRA FIGURE ASSORTMENT (Approximate Retail Price: $24.99) The TRANSFORMERS ENERGON ultra figures feature triple-change combining action and the ability to draw on either ”HYPER POWER” or the ‘SPARK OF COMBINATION” for the ultimate TRANSFORMERS ENERGON battles. Each Ultra figure employs projectiles and electronic sound to aid in the quest for the energon energy source. LANDMINE is an AUTOBOT EARTHMOVER that first combines to form a large construction vehicle. As with other AUTOBOTS in the TRANSFORMERS ENERGON line, LANDMINE changes from vehicle to robot with a gunner station. LANDMINE’S pieces combine using the ‘SPARK OF COMBINATION” for a powerful POWERLINX robot or an even larger vehicle. BULKHEAD, another triple-change Ultra figure, is an AUTOBOT helicopter that has POWERLINX capability and employs sound and projectiles in the battle against the DECEPTICONS for control of the energon. TRANSFORMERS ENERGON SUPER OPTIMUS PRIME (Approximate Retail Price: $39.99) The TRANSFORMERS ENERGON version of the legendary hero OPTIMUS PRIME features the classic robot that converts to a truck cab, but the trailer converts to an energon tower, which is a key element in the new TRANSFORMERS theme for 2004. Plus, each vehicle in the TRANSFORMERS mobile force can POWERLINX with OPTIMUS PRIME as an arm or leg, and can unlock sound effects! The mobile force vehicles can be stored in the OPTIMUS PRIME figure’s trailer mode.

Wizards of the Coast, a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc. is putting a fresh – and fashionable – twist on the Trading Card Game (TCG) genre by introducing the STAR SISTERZ Collectable Charm Game. STAR SISTERZ poses fun dares and crazy challenges to girls, rewarding them with cool, collectable charms.
There are nearly 100 unique charms to wear, collect and trade. The high quality silver charms, each inlaid with a colorful gem, are earned by completing a Dare, Challenge or Big Idea card.
