Toy Fair 2004 Hot Dozen

For the past six years we have made the trip to New York to bring you the best the toy industry has to offer. After pounding the pavement for five days we always sit back with a cup of coffee and try to get an overview of what we have seen. We are all collectors and every year we each have a short list of the toys we would love to take away from Toy Fair if we could.

This year we wanted to let you in on what really caught our collecting eyes. So here we present the Master Collector Online Toy Fair Hot Dozen for 2004. In no particular order...these were our favorites.

Marvel Studios The Punisher by Marvel/Toybiz

Marvel Studios has had huge successes over the last few years in translating the iconic characters of the Marvel Universe onto the big screen. The likenesses of the coolest big-screen Marvel characters are perfectly captured in the highly collectible Marvel Studios line. These 12" figures feature 30 Points of Articulation and employ the laserscanning technology and detailed sculpts to capture every nuance of the actor in his portrayal of a great Marvel Super Hero. Hugh Jackman as Wolverine was my favorite from this past year. Joining the collection in 2004 is Thomas Jane as the urban vigilante known as The Punisher.

18" Limited Edition Madeline

40th. Anniversary G.I. Joe Collection by Hasbro

2004, and Hasbro celebrates with a special collectors set that captures all the nostalgia of the first G.I. JOE action figures. Adults who remember the magic of their fist G.I. JOE can recapture those childhood memories with the 40th ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION that includes the Action Sailor, Action Soldier, Action Pilot and Action Marine figures. Re-live the memories of those backyard adventures with these fully articulated figures, replicas of original accessory packs- and detailed replica package artwork. The nostalgic celebration begins in February, and will continue with new releases throughout the year.

Fashion Royalty "Red Blooded Woman" Kyori Sato by Jason Wu for Integrity Toys

The brilliant Jason Wu has done it again. The entire 2004 Fashion Royalty line is stunning but this gal is a real standout. They say that the clothes can define one's persona. This is certainly true of Ms. Soto, whose red-blooded nature has become synonymous with her unmistakable celebrity. Her red silk satin gown has corset lacing all the way down to the hem with a full slithering train sweeping behind. Adorned with a sharp red gem embedded in it's "eye", her precious python-styled neckpiece is rumored to be worth millions...Very limited quantities. SRP $99.99

20" 1/4 scale Hellboy Figure by Sideshow Toy

Standing roughly 20" tall, this Hellboy figure is complete with movie-accurate costuming, and an authentic likeness of Ron Pearlman as the rugged paranormal investigator. The figure is cast in heavy weight polystone, including the detailed stone right hand, "The Samaritan" revolver at the ready in the left hand, and tail. Creepsters by Playing Mantis

The birth of Creepsters is a story to be told. Dr. Creep, an eccentric scientist from Creepstervania, devoted his lifetime to ending the fossil fuel crisis by combining cars with living organisms. Making Cars that can use food as fuel. He invented the Bio Vehicular Hydration Chamber to give birth to his dream. Somehow, something went horribly wrong! Contaminated water mutated some of his experiments.

The result was six bad ones , wrecking havoc on the land. Six good ones trying to right the wrong! These 12 glow in the dark toys have die-cast chassis and goofy, scary sculpts. So fun to play with and collect they will compell kids to seek them out! Awesome illustrated playing cards with the creepsters biography and powers on the back add to the collectibility.

The first wave will include the 6 good ones...Frankenrod, Webmaster, Hyde N Seek, Nitro Stalker, Eye-Beam, Motormouth and 6 bad ones...Orb-it, Brain Storm, Goober Gear, Bonehead, Sting Thing and Go-Go Gobblin. 12 new vehicles will be available in October. SRP is $1.49

To enhance the fun, coming in Fourth Quarter will be two feaure packed Playsets! Skull Hide Out is the Creepsters playground of lights and sounds. Charlie Brown Ultimate Action Figure by Playing Mantis

Good greif! A 13" action figure! Charlie Brown can be dressed for Winter with his famous brown hat and red coat. He even has a pair of ice skates. Press his left hand to make him say over 10 phrases. A "Pathetic Christmas Tree" and in-scale Santa Snoopy will also be available.

DC Comic Editions The Unknown Soldier by Dreams & Visions

DC Comics' Disfigured, one-man undercover agent is now available as a 12" action figure for the first time ever! The Soldier's greatest skill was his ability to disguise himself as almost anyone, playing a range of roles from an American G.I. to a German officer.

Dale Earnhardt Jr, Freestyle MX Motorcycle by Taiyo Edge RC

Ok...let's make it a big Baker's Dozen...there are just too many cool toys this year!
