The G.I. Joe Collectors' Club and Hasbro, Inc. will hold their 10th annual International G.I. JOE Collectors' Convention at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel June 29-July 2, 2006. Located just outside the French Quarter, the the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel puts you in the heart of the Crescent City's business, entertainment, dining, and nightlife.

"We are very excited to be able to keep our International Convention in New Orleans during the summer of 2006. We're also pleased to announce this year's slogan will be, 'Heroes Unite'," said Brian Savage, CEO Fun Publications, Inc. and G.I. Joe Collectors' Club Director. "Folks from or staff recently toured the French Quarter and found not only businesses, but the 'spirit' of New Orleans up and running! It is with great pride that we invite G.I. Joe Collectors from all over the world to this year's convention."

New Orleans is a great vacation destination. There are plenty of family outings, such as the Louisiana Children's Museum, the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, the Audubon Zoo, and all of you history buffs will want to check out the D-Day Museum along with the Confederate Museum. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the IMAX theater, Mardi Gras World, Swamp Tours, Plantation Tours, French Quarter Walking Tours, New Orleans Museum of Art, The Shops at Canal Place and Riverwalk Marketplace, Jackson Brewery, or enjoy Buggy, Riverboat, and Paddle wheeler rides. And of course don't forget that New Orleans is the birth place of Jazz and Cajun cooking! Speaking of Jazz, the French Quarter is full of night life with over twenty different live music and night clubs. You might even want to go on one of their famous "Ghost Tours".

There is so much to do in this historic city that we recommend you order a visitors guide from the CVB at

"We are looking forward to this year's great event and seeing all of our G.I. Joe friends from around the world."

–Brian Savage, G.I. Joe Collector’s Club Director
